Having two batteries with the drill and the fast charger means you don't have the problem of a lot of cordless drills that it runs out of juice halfway through the job and you need to wait for a recharge. Battery life isn't great, but the two batteries make up for that.
Only 110v, would be nice if it was dual voltage.

I have only used the drills 30-40 times and 1 of the batteries is completely dead

I bought this after my previous drill (only 4 years old) broke while I was installing a new range hood. My prior drill was just an average homeowner version. I decided to buy a more expensive unit this time because I realized that, as an average homeowner, I use my drill most of all of my tools. Well, I am not disappointed. This arrived quickly, the batteries charged quickly, and I can't believe the power on these things. They are a vast improvement over my prior drill. I could not be more pleased.

I like how this works...when it works. It's lightweight and powerful. The big problem is that the batteries do not last. That makes this drill extremely expensive to run.

I've been renovating my house using this 3 piece set and have been so pleased with it's power and convenience. Battery lasts long, battery charges quickly, and both drills are just so comfortable to use. Having a LED light go on every time you use it is just fantastic to. I would never go back to what I had before. The only problem is; the flashlight didn't work when I got it, and after 3 months of using this one of the batteries just don't work. I'm now working off of one battery that sometimes won't charge, I have to keep an eye on it and keep putting it back on the charger for a full charge. Again, great product, I just think I got a bad set. The only problem with returning this is that; it's not taking it back to a store, you have to ship it out to Makita (Amazon's 30 day warranty is up) and wait for it to be fixed (however long that will take). In the meantime I have no a incomplete set. I recommend the product to anyone, from a homeowner to a contractor! I'm giving it 3 stars because of the inconvenience of returning broken goods....other than that I would given it the highest rating!!!!!!!
